Clearly, if you can't tell from the photo cover, I have barely been in the studio at all since the semester started. The first week of classes I started my new job which is amazing but a LOT of work outside of my scheduled hours. I have made hundreds of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) for the nonverbal students I work with which I absolutely love, but to say it is time-consuming would be an understatement. It is very rewarding seeing the students realize that they now have the ability to let others know what they want or how they are feeling for the very first time in their entire lives. Needless to say the first week of school I did not do any hours outside of class in the studio.

The second week was also interesting and after a complicated class day on Monday, in all honesty, I avoided the studio. Then, just when things were calming down at work and I actually had time to work in the studio, I woke up with a 102-degree fever. On Thursday I went to the doctor and discovered I have strep, a double ear infection, and an eye infection. This is my second day on antibiotics so I am crossing my fingers that tomorrow I will be ready to leave my house and venture to the studio. I have an insane amount of work to catch up on so I am quite stressed, to say the least, but just trying to take it day by day.
